The purpose is to develop positions and submit comments to regulatory agencies during their rulemaking process by written and oral presentations. Reports of the actions are circulated to the membership to assist them in their individual compliance efforts.
As stewards of Central Valley water resources, the goal of the Regulatory work group is to advocate for our members and to lead the way in the development and use of scientific based information by local and regional decision makers that will result in a fiscally responsible and reasonable approach to the protection of public health and the environment. The group advocates for solutions developed with sound science that could be implemented feasibly, while protecting our resources and preserving the economic vitality of the Central Valley.
Collection Systems works with the State and Regional Water Quality Control Boards’ staff and the collection systems community to provide information, assistance, and guidance in meeting regulatory compliance with sewer system management plans and the execution of sanitary sewer overflow prevention programs.
The Biosolids work group advocates and supports the environmentally sound use of biosolids. The group is active at both the local and state levels, and works with the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Biosolids Program manager and Regulatory work group.
Responsible for newsletters, press releases and maintaining the Website. The group is continually working to keep the membership informed on issues and activities. Additional responsibilities include organizing special informative presentations at General Membership meetings and planning and organizing the Annual Spring Conference hosted by 网赌最大的信誉网站.
Focuses on issues concerning laboratories, laboratory certification through ELAP, water quality data and CIWQS/CEDEN reporting of water quality data, and similar issues.
